How to convert Celsius to Fahrenheit
To convert Celsius to Fahrenheit, multiply the Celsius temperature by 9/5 (or 1.8), then add 32.
°F = (°C × 9/5) + 32
- 9/5 is the same as 1.8, so °F = (°C × 1.8) + 32 gives the identical result.
- To reverse it, subtract 32 first, then multiply by 5/9: °C = (°F − 32) × 5/9.
Example: convert 25 °C to Fahrenheit
- Multiply by 9/5: 25 × 9 ÷ 5 = 45.
- Add 32: 45 + 32 = 77.
- Result: 25 °C = 77 °F.
